"How in the hell could Interplay release a game with such major, glaring, near-fatal flaws? Didn't anybody know? Didn't anybody care?" - PC Gamer Nov 98
"Running a close second in the shovelware market is Interplay, which also takes second place (after Sierra) as The Company Who Hates Its Customers The Most" - PC Gamer Feb 99

Remember to save any letters you send. Later you can CUT & PASTE from the letter to post into messages in the Message Forums or into new EMails.
And since you can cut and paste so easily, rather than send one EMail with 20 addresses, only use ONE EMail address for the letter, with a CC: to CaptComal@hotmail.com. Then copy the text of the letter and paste it into a new EMail to a different address. Do this for as many EMail addresses as you can. Each person getting the EMail then does not look at it as a "form letter" sent to everyone, but rather a letter sent to them. Of course, feel free to personalize each one you send with a note about their magazine or site to show you know about them. A link to their website is also included in the chart below for this purpose.
High Priority
Denny Atkin ( denny_atkin@zd.com ), Features Editor for Computer Gaming World, has an excellent full page column in the October 1998 issue titled, "The Perils of Patches: Why can't companies get simulations right the first time?" The highlighted quote for the column is: "Shipping a buggy product is likely to hasten the rush toward bankruptcy". I know Denny Atkin from years ago and he is a good guy. I think he would listen to you if you send him a cool-headed letter.
Dan Bennett ( c/o editor@pcgamer.com ... don't know his personal EMail), Columnist for PC Gamer, had a wonderful column in the May 1998 issue ... two full pages ... titled, "We Don't Need No Steenking Patches". The first highlighted quote from the column is "Unfinished products are an increasing plague on PC gaming. So what can we do about it? Dan has some radical ideas." The last highlighted quote from the column is "Any marketing student can tell you that when consumers change their buying habits, sellers change the way they sell." This column was so popular that he did a follow up on it in the July 1998 issue titled, "We're Mad As Hell". The highlighted quote is: "Turns out that a horde of readers are as fed up with buggy and unfinished games as we are." Maybe Dan might like to start a yearly award for the most buggy games released ... recommend it to him ... and nominate a game that should be shoe in for that award!
And now ... the envelope please ... :)
