Special Files
Test Transports Scenario - SAVE10.MPS inside a ZIP file (SAVE10.ZIP). This scenario should be playable as a real game, but was designed to test for the TRANSPORT bugs (where units are not allowed to be unloaded etc). Each side gets Air Transports, Sea Transports and APCs plus an assortment of units to try "transporting".
MAX2 Demo (ver 1.1c - 27Meg)
MAX2 Patch for retail CD game (patch #4 - ver 1.4 - 1.7Meg)
MAX2 Manual text file (only 200K)
MAX2 Theme Pack for Windows95Plus.
You can use any (or all) of the MAX2 game pointers as your normal Windows cursors! Just UNZIP them and place them in your Windows\Cursors directory, then:

NEW! Prisoners Dilema |
A Big
Kids Scenario©1998 Here is the first scenario Heaven is releasing for us BIG KIDS! Here is the rundown that Relkin gives us: "Two human players start out exactly equal. They have to ultimately destroy each other's Mining Stations. There are no constructors or factories so you only have what you start with. Just to make things interesting, the map has over 400 Knibs that would like nothing better to do than destroy both players. Hence, the dilemma: sit on defence against the Knibs, or go after the other player. You do get some gold mines, and a couple research centers so the longer the game drags on, the more likely that one side will get some advantage over the other." |
Farmer Max by Relkin (save8.mps) |
A Just
For Kids Scenario©1998 Bravo! Another person creating games (scenarios) just for kids. This game includes scenery ... there are 4 farms with animals in them. The enemy actually does have 2 scouts who WILL shoot at you. However, you have plenty of fire power to handle them! You would have to try really hard to loose this game. Your goal is to destroy the enemy Material Harvesters. |
Missile Madness by CaptComal (save7.mps) |
A Just
For Kids Scenario©1998 This is my favorite of this series of games so far! You start with five Missile Crawlers. This is a scenario that you cannot lose, since the enemy only has anti aircraft units who can't shoot back at you since your units are on the ground! The game starts with a silent tension as your Missile Crawlers are sitting right in front of enemy Power Pods! After watching your minimap showing the enemy units elsewhere on the map regrouping, start things going by attacking one of the power pods. To win, destroy the enemy Material Harvesters that are on the other side of the bridges. |

Kids. For Kids. Scenario©1998 Kyle designed this game on the map that had three land masses each connected to the others by two wide "bridges". He did not use any sear or air units in this game. The goal is to destroy the Sheevat Mining Stations. There are other Sheevat units and buildings on the map that you might have fun chasing and destroying, but you do not have to do so. Radar Stations are placed around the map so your minimap always shows where the enemy units (green dots) are. Your units are the red dots on that minimap. (note: Kyle revised this scenario twice before he liked this version) If you like this game scenario, please send Kyle a picture postcard of your city: Kyle Lindsay, c/o Paul Lindsay, 179 Lincoln Street, Boston, MA 02111 USA |
TanksEasy by CaptComal (save1.mps) |

For Kids Scenario©1998 You start with half a dozen tanks (both kinds). This is a scenario that you cannot lose, since the enemy only has bulldozers who can't shoot back at you. The game starts with a bang as your tanks start firing on the bulldozers (they all start in plain sight). The bulldozers run away and you can chase them if you want (try to figure out where they went as they disappear into the fog). To win, destroy the enemy Material Harvester that is just above your starting position. |
SnowDevils by CaptComal (save2.mps) |
A Just
For Kids Scenario©1998 You start with a bakers dozen Robotic Walkers. This scenario has no fog ... you have double powered Radar Stations all over the map to provide you full view on your mini map. There are half a dozen Snow Devils walking around the map. They will attack you if they feel like it, so you can take some damage. But I have pumped up the statistics on your Robotic Walkers so don't worry much about it. You win when all the Snow Devils are destroyed (note that there are a couple Sheevat bulldozers, power stations and mining station ... you can destroy them if you wish, but you don't have to). |
Bombers by CaptComal (save3.mps) |
A Just
For Kids Scenario©1998 You start with 5 Aircraft Bombers. Your job is to destroy all the Snowdevils (you do not need to destroy any of the Sheevat buildings or units, though you can just for fun). And they are super strong in this game! Note: nothing on the map can shoot your planes, so you can take your time in finding the Snowdevils (and they are really hard to see too!) |
Boats by CaptComal (save4.mps) |
A Just
For Kids Scenario©1998 You start with 5 Gunboats. Your job is to destroy all the Giant Hoppers before they eat any more boats (they like to nibble on boats). You do not need to destroy any of the Sheevat buildings, but their power pods are on the shoreline, so your gunboats can shoot them if you wish. This is a good game play using the minimap to find out where the Giant Hoppers are (they will be blue dots on the water). You can lose this game in theory because the Giant Hoppers can damage your ships, but I have increased the HITS and ARMOR on your ships to prevent that. |

Kids. For Kids. Scenario©1998 Kyle designed this game on an all land map, so there is no water or sea units in this game. He also did not use any air units. The goal is to destroy the Sheevat Material Harvesters. There are many other Sheevat units and buildings on the map that you might have fun chasing and destroying, but you do not have to do so. By Kids. For Kids. scenarios are designed by real live kids using the Scenario Editor that comes with MAX2.
Just For Kids©1998 scenarios are designed to allow little kids to play MAX2 too! They see their big brothers and sisters (or parents) playing and want to play too! You can't trick them with some other computer game --- they are wise to that trick. They want the real thing ... the tanks, the robotic walkers, the planes, THE EXPLOSIONS! However, at 6 years old (for example) they are not ready for the full strategy of MAX2. Thus special scenarios are being created to allow KIDS the chance to play the same game as the BIG BOYS play!
